it seems like you are mainly upset that US culture cannot be adequate defined as "anglo-germanic" while it fits the social, demographic and political profile of other Latin American societies quite closely.

you know how Anglo Germanic the US is? they took over half of Mexico and tried incorporating Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.

Also if we're measuring this in terms of political influence, remember that notions of a liberal constitutional republic are not only the province of a bunch of 18th century Brits. just ask hidalgo, benito Juarez, and toussaint l'ouverture.
culture alone is a vague term. I could say tex mex cowboys or the blues are fundamental aspects of us cultural identity as any other.
