Well, I disagree. Why the hell would they thank us for having them identified as heretics by the Taliban, so that they can be killed, assaulted and raped at the earliest convenience? Afghan women don't view us as saviors. They view us as lying, two-faced bastards who told them we'd protect them but have instead put them in far more danger. It's like telling a girl who is married to an abusive husband to confront him, because we'll be there with a baseball bat. So she does it, we step in and hit him enough to knock him down, then throw the bat on the ground and flee. What do you think is going to happen when he gets up?
