Putin will seize Donetsk and Kharkiv and he may send troops in the direction of Kiev before "yielding" to UN and other international pressure. And the West will wimp out and breath a sigh of relief that Putin has only pocketed half the country.
The game being played now isn't whether Russia can walk out the door with Crimea, but how much more of the Ukraine before it is forced by various pressures to stop.
