I don't buy into the idea that the private sector is some sort of omnipotent godlike actor compared to the public sector.
It strikes me as simply an ideological assumption with no real basis. Do you know how many private businesses fail, including those run by the top guys? How many utterly stupid decisions are made every day by private businesses? I know Saz doesn't because he's never actually worked. But I'm sure the more experienced folk around here can blow our minds with wanton private stupidity.
