I think Putin is playing a very deadly game, but Russian autonomy depends on it. Their chance at survival is to become the nucleus of some sort of international resistance to the economic policies of the USA

Off and on I've been hearing about the death of the USD and other countries dropping the USD for decades... In 2008-2009 that kind of talk was all the rage.. But here we are, 5 years later and it is still status quo..

As Com pointed out there is not alternative to the USD so we soldier on.
