Uber, if your friend's and their wives are really how you describe, you really need to start trying to hang with a better class of people. I don't know of these, "you better get me shit" women. Most, if not all mothers, myself included, might appreciate, at the least a phone call on a day that most people should acknowledge. For most of us, the decent humans at least, Mother's Day, Father's Day and most of the other minor holidays, are really just an excuse to get the family together for a moment to reconnect. It's not about spending the money on a Mother's Day buffet that matters to me. It's the fact that my kids spent some EFFORT to get us all together for a day to enjoy each others presence in our lives and realize how important we really are to each other.
