One of my buddies I used to work started believing in stupid shit like this. He called himself a "free man on the land" and said all you had to do was renounce your citizenship. I didn't bother trying to dissuade him... he's the sort of guy who gets excited about new ideas and then quickly dumps them, so I knew I wouldn't have to worry about him doing something truly stupid.
