Yes, I do.

I'm not a climate scientist, but I do have the scientific background to review the basic theory of anthropogenic climate change, and it seems very sound to me. It's pretty easy to prove that humans have caused a lot of CO2 emissions, and that CO2 traps heat in the earth atmosphere. It's a lot more difficult to prove how large this effect is, and what the result will be, but I trust the calculations of the leading scientists in the field. Science is obviously not perfect in its predictive and explanatory powers, but it's a hell of a lot better than any of the alternatives.

It never ceases to amaze me that people will endlessly continue to insure that we keep pollution at current levels--or in fact, worse.

Pro-pollution.

Let's see: how do we convince gullible Americans that the planet is nothing but an open sewer--the planet that, without it, they're gone?

Got it: attack science, cook up wild conspiracy theories, claim that this is a "hoax" and to seal the deal, label anybody who accepts the science as "the left." That way, you just turned at least 50% of the voting population against... science... and therefore you can claim there is a "debate" happening.

My favorite part: cleaning up our air, water and land has... exactly what negative effect again?

What kind of an idiot population votes for fouling the environment in which they must live?
