I'm not a climate scientist, but I do have the scientific background to review the basic theory of anthropogenic climate change, and it seems very sound to me. It's pretty easy to prove that humans have caused a lot of CO2 emissions, and that CO2 traps heat in the earth atmosphere. It's a lot more difficult to prove how large this effect is, and what the result will be, but I trust the calculations of the leading scientists in the field. Science is obviously not perfect in its predictive and explanatory powers, but it's a hell of a lot better than any of the alternatives.
