Nah that's confusing. Month - Day - Year is just the most intuitive. Year obviously comes last since dates are most often brought up in the current year so it can go without saying in casual discussion. Which leaves month and day. A month is only about 30 days, so the 15th is only about 2 weeks away on one side or the other, therefore to avoid confusion you identify month first followed by day.

a day is a unit of a month, and a month is a unit of a year, so dd/mm/yy is the logical format, and the vast, vast majority of the world agrees with me.
