Are you serious man? Enroll in the program, your repayments are capped at 10% of income. You aren't in default anymore, because you are never obligated to pay more than that 10%.

Is it a private loan? If it's private then I can't help you and no one can help you. Never ever under any circumstances ate our private loans. A non dischargele debt to a private lender? That's the shit people get killed over.
But you can't be on PAYE now, you are on Ibr. Ibr is 15% 25 years, PAYE is 10% 29 years. Use the savings to pay that private loan.
