I think you are 95% wrong on your points, but I'm not going to debate those points with you. I'm just pointing my objections to the current GOP goes faaaaar beyond what Texan Republicans put in their platform about gays... Actually what Texans thinks about gays bothers me very little.

BUT when things like this do happen, even on a state and local level, it makes the GOP look more and more extremist. Thus I'm pretty sure there will be another Dem prez in 2016..

The Republicans are willing to destroy anything they don't like or agree with, whether it's social, fiscal, whatever.. The shut-down last year a perfect example..

To destroy something to try to save it is, IMO, insane..

Here's a more pressing question: why do Republicans suffer from such a persecution complex? Even fstar, who is fairly moderate and reasonable, is behaving as if you guys are picking on him. I see Democrats do the same thing, but often the response to criticism isn't accusations of bias, but laughter. Is it possible that the penultimate pussydom pendulum (PPP) has swung back, making the Dems "tougher" than the Republicans?
