The problem is that you're taking resources away from public schools to subsidize tuition at private institutions.

It's a public service like roads or police.
You could hire your own personal security detail and say "I'm one less person the police need to protect" but you don't get money back from the government for that. You could buy your own jet pack and private helicopter and say "I don't use the roads to travel" but you don't get money back from the government out of the money they use to pave the roads.
If you want the government to subsidize tuition at private schools then find the money elsewhere. Don't steal it from the public education funding.
