How about not forcing loans on kids by telling them they have to go to college? They let people who barely passed high school go to college. Like it or not, to get a head of the educational curve, we need to weed people out at each level. I truthfully wouldn't mind public colleges paid for by the government if they based entry purely on the merits of each student. You got a D average in HS? No college for you. Face it, some people need to get left behind. The government is Harvey Dent on these school loans and is actively raping students by not allowing private loans and using the debt/interest as a revenue stream.
