the avg cost of a root canal without insurance is 500 to 1K which considering how often you use your teeth and the procedure involved isn't that much money

Meanwhile, how many lives are ruined because Americans can't afford the care they need and either never can see a specilist, or go bankrupt?

It's not even like here is any better. I had insurance and I had to wait 6 months to fill my cavity. My table mate who couldn't chew... She had to wait AND spend a ton of money for care.

How about the horror stories of our system... Like the 1,000 of bankruptcies every year due to medical costs..

Ex-neighbor of mine has the early stages of liver cancer..It's treatable.. Doctors suggested 3 years of treatments(36 treatments)at $80,000 a treatment.. His Insurance company won't pay.. He's trying to get on Medicaid/ACA(which he BLASTED a little over a year ago, but that's another story)

So what do we discuss here? The fact that the insurance company won't pay, OR the f'ing treatments costs $80,000.. 36x$80,000 is a SCARY number.
