Yeah baseball doesn't even need to be a sport, its by far the most overpaid for actual work and the players sit around and grab their nuts in the dugout all day. When you can have like 200+ games in a season its because you aren't actually doing anything.

What you guys don't get is that MLB players aren't sitting out cause they're in too much pain. It's cause with the vey exact mechanics that Galt has discussed, even a minor injury will make it impossible to play productively. Chase Utley has played his whole career in constant pain and is always productive, but if he gets injured in a way that's going to mess up his swinging motion he has to rehab that cause he's of no use to the team until he does.

Yeah there's nothing harder in sports than hitting a 95 mph fastball. You got about 2/5 of a second to react.. Do you have to be extremely athletic to hit a baseball? No... But you better have unparalleled hand-eye coordination. . And a hell of a lot more than you need in any other sport, especially soccer..

Baseball also requires a mental toughness to a degree higher than most sports. Pitching to a power hitter with bases loaded and being able to throw strikes on the inside corner requires an insane amount of mental composure. Some guys who have all the physical skills in the world aren't top tier pitchers because they lose their cool in these situations.
