Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.

An embryo does not have personhood. It is made of human cells, but is not a human being. Women, on the other hand, are people with the right to make medical decisions for themselves. To outlaw abortion is to put the rights of a clump of cells over the rights of a woman. Forcing women to endure potentially dangerous pregnancies against their will is to rob them of autonomy.
