Why is abortion such an issue in the USA?

I think we're being a little unfair to the Right. The HL case showed that this is an issue that makes the Left go all "WARRRGHBHBHH!" too.

anywho....some food for thought, Austria is a catholic country known for Jager, torts and their skill in getting it on (could all be related).

They also have the lowest abortion rate on earth. (no baby killing)

But they also have one of the lowest birth rates on earth. (no unwanted babies)

But, but...they also have some reasonable restrictions on abortion. (so it's less of a culture was issue)

wouldn't nearly everyone be satisfied if abortion was allowable but there wasn't any sort of government assistance for individual living expenses?

Hey, can I protest that I don't want my tax dollars spent bombing the shit out of mideastern countries for no reason? I mean, what Christian would support that?

If you're going to insist on birth no matter what because anything else is "baby killing," then you need to step up and insure that all those unwanted babies have adequate care and a chance at decent life after birth and yes that means you will have to have some of your tax dollars paying for it.

If you're not willing to do that, then WTF are we listening to you for?
