Non, you're adorable, you know that right? But I got some bad news: a substantial chunk of the people who believe what you believe re: God are complete assholes. Have been forever. Will continue to be.
Literally every social movement worth talking about has been more or less opposed by Christians not impacted by it, all the way back to the American Revolution. Interracial marriage? Slavery? Public schools? Unions? All this and more...
I'm sorry, but your idea of a historically benevolent Christian movement in the States is based upon nothing more than wishful thinking.
