It's only "disproportional" because Hamas is apparently bad at killing people these days. It does not change the fact that Hamas fired 100 rockets into Israel. When you look at it that way, Israel's response makes a lot more sense. Everyone starts by criticizing Israel and for dubious reasons. Both sides have killed civilians, both have done asinine things, yet Israel gets all the scorn and people go out of their way to justify Palestinian actions. Makes no sense to me. The argument for most Palestinian supporters in the west boils down to "well, the Israelis do it too and they are occupiers." You're basically defending suicide bombings and rocket attacks because Israel bombs Gaza here and there. Don't bother. I hope for a 2 state solution, but I'm not about to stick my neck out to outright defend either side. In general though, any nation should have a right to respond if another nation lobs 100 bombs into their borders over a six hour period, kill count during that time notwithstanding.

...it is an illogical argument. Basically, if Hamas fires 10,000 rockets into Israel and kills one person, then Israel fires a single rocket into Gaza killing 10 people, you'd call that disproportionate in favor of Israel even though Hamas fired 10,000 rockets. Yeah, not buying it.

I don't owe you shit. The use of bombings, rocket attacks, etc. have been standard operating procedure for Palestinians for decades in the conflict with Israel and you brush it under a rug because the Palestinian kill count is lacking compared to Israel's. You base your entire argument on kill count and nothing else. Never mind the fact that Hamas pretty much daily sends rockets into Israel. Never mind that Hamas said "f*ck this" to the latest peace treaty and fired 100 rockets into Israel in 6 hours. You don't care, it only killed one Israeli.

Because it is. Who is being more aggressive if one side launches 100 missiles and kills one person and the other fires one missile and kills ten? 100 missiles is pretty f*cking aggressive. The fact that they only killed one person should not matter. Aggressive and effective aren't mutually exclusive.

I'll never absolve Israel, but I'm fed up with this constant pro-Palestinian shit. They are reaping what they sow at this point. You want to elect a terrorist organization as your head of state, you get what you get. They'd have a legit case for themselves against Israeli aggression if they didn't aggravate shit themselves.

A way to reduce civilian casualties in this conflict is to call both sides out, not just Israel. Everyone gives Hamas a free pass as you did here. You really don't even care that they fired 100 rockets during a 6 hour ceasefire. Try again with your analogy too as no one's been killed by a bottle rocket since prohibition. Hamas' rockets kill people. Their other attacks kill people too, mostly civilians. Do you remember the 2nd Intifada? Again, you can be aggressive and be ineffective.
