Personally, I think my favorite part of all this has been:
Dylan - This is a major problem with America. And, I am part of the problem because I do it all day long.
The funny part is that I've seen people who believe that money buys votes. Lots of CEOs believe it when they hire a lobbyist. Then, they are shocked when they lose the issue. All the while, their lobbyist tried to tell them that spreading money throughout the house simply wouldn't work if the message couldn't be tailored to show that they were in the best interests of the politicians' constituents.
Frankly, the absolute BEST way to lobby a politician is to never talk with him about the issue (or, not until the 11th hour), but convince his constituents to contact him on your behalf (double points if they articulate your point, without ever mentioning you or your company by name).
