there's nothing exceptional about the US empire, it's just another in a long line of suppressive political entities

it won't even last that long since we literally gave our economic engine, american jobs, away so we simply won't have the means to maintain hegemony for much longer.

the militarization of the police and the security state are about keeping domestic control as long as possible and have nothing to do with any outside threat of "terrorism", which is minimal at the worst.
