As been pointed out here many times, there are no more strong, independent Republican politicians like Eisenhower and Goldwater left in the Republican Party anymore.
Can you imagine ANY major Republican Politician of today standing up in Congress and telling off the religious right like Goldwater did in 1981? Nope. Won't happen in today's GOP..

As always the moderates and the Indy's will decide who sits in the WH... And on the national level the GOP has almost completely lost them.. So unfortunately we'll see another Clinton in the WH, and we'll see another 8 years of the GOP stamping their feet and acting like children.
