I can see letting folks debate in that manner, if that is how they talk, but i do not understand you can possibly win a debate without coherent speech that the listeners and other participants can understand. I couldn't make heads or tails out of what they were saying.

I would like to see footage of whoever it was they defeated for this victory.

There should definitely be separate governing bodies for formal versus informal debate. I think both can be pretty neat, but they shouldn't be judged by the same criteria, or against one another.

They're capable of speaking eloquently. The way they handle the questions during the interview show their professionalism. The way they debated is equivalent to a Thriller dance compared to your Waltz.
