Nobody in gov't currently is interested in rebuilding the middle class, only funding their next election, which is only possible by taking donations from special interests who couldn't care less about the middle class.
Because our gov't is for the people and by the people--only now those "people" are the "persons" that are corporations in addition to super PACS and dark money.
What's truly astounding is that we became an example to the world of how you could create a great country, and we destroyed it ourselves. Not the Soviets, not China, not communism--us.

The middle is disappearing. A few will have excess, most never enough.
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.

Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
