I was exactly the opposite. Not only was Texas co-ed. I lived in a dorm that was co-ed (Jester East). Further more, my floor was co-ed!

Literally, the dorm was shaped like 2 "L" joined on the vertical axis. One half of the hall was female, and the other half was male. They was no separation. Literally, halfway down the hall, you'd have a guy's room, and the next door was a girl's room. The bathrooms (communal) were something like 10 doors apart. You'd grab a towel and walk to take a bath, and you'd be less than 100' from a girl who was in nothing but a towel walking from her own bathroom. Heck, if you were visiting a girl on that end of the hall (no checkpoints, no monitors, etc.), you'd walk past that girl in a towel.

It was nice.

There was a case where a man who wasn't even the biological father was forced to keep paying. He found out his wife had cheated on him and for some reason the court said even though the kid wasn't his he had to pay child support. I'll find it when I'm not on a mobile.

I've no sympathy for giving a rapist and his victim equal rights with respect to the child.

Generally I think if you engage in sex you should be on the hook for any resulting child.

Now, if a woman intentionally circumvents a method of birth control to become pregnant.....that's another story.
