Outside of this the other important consideration is China. Consider:
- Chinese export growth has declined rapidly among lower level businesses (layoffs are commonplace) due to EM nations not preparing for the Federal Reserve's tightening (Or at least market expectations thereof)
- China hasn't migrated out of an economy driven by exports
- China is deleveraging itself now
- China may have trouble meeting its 7.5% goal for the year
A lot of this is happenstance but lots of it could be interpreted as intentional (Via us utilizing our reserve currency status to our own ends).
I think...this time is different.
on the social policy front Beijing has been acting very strange going after Christians, gays, artists, even non-mandarin speakers. things seems a bit more repressive than when I was there.
Any-who if something big is going to happen I hope it happens soon, Non wants to get WW3 over-with before having kids.
