Well, I REALLY like the idea of using them to talk with potential extremists in Britain and convincing those people to not go in the first place.
But, I think that the risks outweigh the benefit. Sure, you might get 499 people who want to reform, but that 500th guy is faking and wants to blow something up. Or, even scarier, if they will be used to (supposedly) influence the most at-risk people for extremism to NOT become extremists, haven't we just given them a potential membership list for recruitment to BECOME extremists?
Yeah, leave them in Syria.
