being upset that you wife is sick doesn't magically make money appear in your bank account so that you can afford the most expensive healthcare available

the reality is people will purchase what they can afford and that means they have to shop around anyway

when you are sick do you immediately give some doctor whatever amount of money he says? Maybe, but in the case of serious illness many people get a second opinion to ascertain whether or not the first one is reasonable.

health care is not a right any more than housing is a right. you have no right to things that are not yours, and i have no right to give away things that are not mine. you have a right to life, and legal protections are there to stop people from taking it from you, but if you can't provide for it to sustain it that is your fault
