I'm perfectly fine with scrapping it and REPLACING it with something, especially single payer.
What I'm not fine with is scrapping it and trusting the do-nothing GOP will come up with some idea, you know, somewhere down the road after they "study" this and well, you know: we have the best health care system in the world!
My point still stands: the only coverage Obamacare has ever gotten has been negative, to the point where now it's something that even people who don't know the details of it oppose it outright.
That is an utter and complete failure of our media--although just one example--where they let one side control the narrative regardless of facts, because somehow this is being "balanced."
For that same reason we have half the damn population apparently thinking climate change is a "hoax" and there is "debate" about this.
For that same reason we ended up in Iraq.
I read with a smile all the reviews of "Meet the Press" with its new host this past weekend, thinking: since when has it been the "press" in this country. That implies journalism, accountability, facing people who are going to fact-check you and call you out if you're lying. The show should be changed to "Meet the Pundits, Who Are Merely There So You Have a Venue to Spin Your Party Line Every Week."
