Not teaching children discipline, including minor corporal punishment when needed, only insures a future prison population. End of story.
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.

My Dad went over the line a few times on us kids. Sometimes it helped and sometimes it didn't. Speaking for myself I made it through well and good. The black-sheep brother?... not so. The worst was a kick in the ass with a Florsheim wing-tip. Those are some hard soled shoes for sure.
