they are inadmissible in court as far as the prosecution is concerned and if a defense attorney attempts to present the results as evidence it is usually rejected.
its pretext to trick someone into a confession, basically, and that mentality is the shortcut that creates wrongful convictions.

I can't believe the money they spend on prosecuting certain cases, especially if they have a change of venue. A man/woman in a showcase trial that is in their 20s, and receives a life sentence will cost the taxpayers BIG bucks for the judicial orgasm and incarceration over the years. Just for that one case out of many. But hey, we ain't got the money to fix the pot holes in the road,lol.

Look at the case of Richard Danziger and Christopher Ochoa and what happened to them.
The cop who set them up is infamous in Austin history for wrongful convictions and is a perfect example of the nature of corrupt law enforcement

Maybe a standardized compensation would work. I'm sure DAs would think twice before taking cases to trial.

Money for the wrongfully convicted is a good start, but I'm mostly wondering why none of these cases ever lead to consequences for the people who caused the wrongful conviction, or changes in the procedures that lead to those convictions ?
