Well for you folks in western countries my proposal to create an all volunteer force to opposes Isis still stands. I'm going to pull a mo here and tell you to get off your lazy asses if you truly find the situation disturbing.

I'd be willing to lend whatever support I could, assuming the aims are fitting and it's all above the board and legal. It also doesn't mean you need to pick up a gun and start fighting yourself, even auxiliary support, recruiting former servicemen, people who actually know what they're doing, etc.

Well, if you do end up volunteering, please don't call them sand people over there. it might hurt recruitment efforts.

We did help arm them. I'm not saying that none of this would be happening if we hadn't armed them, but we did and that's why I ask everyone to take a step back and think about how we've been handling things in this region for quite some time. It's a constant scramble to take out whatever terrible bad guy du jour were focused on but nobody ever asks "then what?" There's just always the assumption that more moderate, liberal, responsible leadership will materialize once we've gotten rid of the badguy. Time and time again, it doesn't happen. It usually gets worse, not better.
