war in the middle east doesn't serve the interests of everyday americans, who as you pointed out, just want to make a living. it serves the interests of weapons manufacturers and oil companies both of which are reaping record profits exploiting people on both sides of the equation.

that only means they are a worse problem, yet we can ignore that and get all worked up about attacking the "other" in the middle east

thats how well our propaganda works. americans see the worst criminal organization in history, which has infiltrated the goverment and financial infrastructures, as something we can work with but we absolutely have to go to war with some rebels on the other side of the planet because they aren't "fully human" or whatever "not a part of society" really means
