having rights doesn't necessarily mean they will participate in human society
why not leave them and their environment alone? surely they have more of a right to that than we have to do any anything we want no matter how stupid it is.

well, that thinking is why modern humans society is an extinction event on par with an asteroid strike
if we destroy ourselves it will be richly deserved. we are part of nature so thinking we can destroy the natural world and survive is extremely short sighted.
if we are to survive we must develop a viable world view. or some of us have to do it and then wipe the rest out.

humans are animals. so it has to be ok to destroy them to reach a desired objective according to your own philosophy.
