The criticism of Romo has never been that he can't play. Everyone knows he can. It's that he shrinks in bigs moments, and that's not so unfair. McNabb got it too and he's taken teams a lot further than Romo ever did.

Yeah the people who hate Romo nationally are people like me who would hate the most infallible and likable player in the world if he played for the Cowboys. Among the Dallas fanbase it's probably just the frustration of having all these viable teams that have won 1 playoff game in the last 15 years or so.

BTW, if you want a real overhyped QB, it's Mathew Stafford. Tell me, what does he do when Calvin isn't 100% healthy? People think he's elite but he's clearly nowhere close.

the cowboys are not why Romo is hated. Romo isn't even hated. He's just a shit kicker with serious athleticism but no apparent killer instinct. Plus he throws an absolutely gross number of completely unfortunate interceptions. It's not even the interceptions that he throws, it's that he throws them at the only times during the game when he can't help but meme himself.
