I wonder if these sort of small scale attacks will be the norm in the future. Why focus all your efforts on big targets when you can arguably spread more fear by attacking randomly and then dispersing? It is a tactic nearly impossible to defend against, and all it really requires is someone willing to do it.

And the number of soft targets in our countries, lol... I mean, how hard would it be to get three guys to hit a shopping mall every week? The fear would paralyse the economy, and there isn't any way to defend against it other than seizing everyones guns and going full-blown police state.

It really is a superior strategy.

Provide the media and the propaganda to get people radicalized, then instruct them over that media to carry out small scale attacks on their own. There is no way to defend against it, and no way to tell who is going to act next.
