I dressed up like an old lady for the Cub Scout Halloween party using my Mom's bra, an old dress, wig, heels, and make-up when I was ten. My Dad gave me the stink-eye all night and I couldn't figure out why. My Mom later took me aside and said, "Your uncle J____ cross-dresses but is straight and your Dad thought some of his gene pool made it into you". After asking for and being told the definition of "cross-dressing" it all made perfect sense why Pops was so annoyed with my costume choice.
