That's not in their interest. 2016 will see the senate class of 2010 up for reelection in a presidential year where the country is less right leaning than they were in 2010. And a lot of them are in states where the GOP isn't really heavily favored. The dynamics of presidential year turnouts and the fact that they have to get re-elected when the national mood is much more tempered from 2010, plus the fact that obama won't be on the ballot for them to run against, means they're better off showing some level of productivity while not completely abandoning the base.
You're thinking of these GOP congressmen and senators like they're all for one and one for all to advance their agenda. In reality most just want to keep their own seats.
