But, to respond to one of your earlier paragraphs - you say that people need to realize that this is about more than just a single case, and then you bring up several other cases of police brutality against young black men. I'm getting the gist that you think that responding to each case on its own is not enough, and that there must be widespread . . . something (riots, protests, ???).

However, I think you're wrong. You respond to this type of systemic problem by ensuring that you treat it the same way, every time it happens. You objectively look at the facts. And, if there is brutality (or racial profiling, or whatever), then you treat the offender just like anyone else.
