It's very likely Wilson should not receive jail time. But he avoided a trial altogether which would not have happened if he wasn't a cop. That's the most frustrating part to me. This warranted a trial.

what happens to the individuals in this specific incident really shouldn't be the focus. There is a long term chronic pattern of abuse of racial minorities by the local authorities here and in many other places, that is the issue. this incident was merely the flashpoint for the release of the frustration in this community on to the general public, which they rightly perceive as not caring about them.
