He's right in that the economy should have been focus #1--as it always should be.
Instead of using taxpayer dollars to help people now underwater or losing their homes and jobs, we gave it to the banks to set off the bomb in the first place.
But then again, this is Obama we're talking about--one of the worst politicians to come along in many a year.

This thread isn't about what Republicans had to offer. It's the fact that lots of Democrats have buyer's remorse over wasted political capital, and if it weren't true they wouldn't have gotten beat down in 2 straight election cycles. Health is important, but so is providing for yourself and more people had no jobs than were going without insurance.

Reps gained seats in both houses in 2012 IIRC. Not enough to matter, but they closed the gap.
