Of course blacks can be racist too--I've been there.

But it's silly to argue that it's on an even scale when we have a white-majority country governed by an equally majority white leadership. Whites never had to fight for the right to be considered human beings, to not be slaves, to vote, to not be killed. Let's not forget that but let's not also have that be a grievance that gets whipped out every time we have a discussion about race to avoid the present day issues.

One of the problems in this country is that we have the race discussion being hijacked by the race-baiting pimps for both sides: Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for their side, Hannity/FOX/Limbaugh etc. for the white people.

When somebody tries to be the voice of reason and calm--and yes, that would be Obama--he's either ignored entirely or STILL lumped in with people like Sharpton and Jackson by the Hannity'FOX/Limbaugh crowd because that's just what they do. He must be like them because, you know, he's one of Them.

Sigh.

And like all problems that go on forever, this one is in and endless loop because both sides are so enthralled with the idea of their own victimhood they'll never concede a point to the other side, no matter how true. And nothing moves forward.

The first step to solving a problem is admitting there is one. Right now, when you listen to the white pimps they insist there is no racism. Those on the other side obviously don't deny it, but they're unwilling to examine how they may contribute to it.
