My problem is that I don't LIKE to sleep. I usually have no problems once I lay down. And, once I'm asleep, I sleep soundly and long (9+ hours, if allowed).
But, back in college I realized 2 things. One, people WASTE 1/3 of their lives doing nothing but holding a bed down. Yes, I know that it's technically not "wasted", as your body is recuperating and whatnot. But, mammals don't "need" that much sleep (we humans have just evolved that way). I average around 4-5 hours of sleep per night. It's every night, but I go to bed around 1am or so, and sleep until 6. On weekends, I might sleep until 8 or 9am Been doing this for almost 15 years now.
Think about what you could accomplish if you only required 1-2 hours of sleep per night!! You could effectively have another job and double your income. You could become a semi-pro at some hobby you love (racecars, parasailing, whatever). It'd be awesome.
