It's such a bizarre infinity loop.

Jihadists do something atrocious which makes people look down on their religion, which is what they use to justify their atrocities--people discriminating against their religion.

It's sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

But then we play into it completely, either by indiscriminately killing Muslims in an effort to kill terrorists, or when places like FOX dangle Muslims in front of all them red state folks as red meat.

they don't use "discrimination of their religion" as the basis for jihad. jihad has to do with beliefs about spreading their faith through the sword and it doesn't have anything to do with our heathen opinions of the Religion of Peace™
