Well, it certainly is a mental illness. Gender dysphoria to be precise. Galt is just wrong to say we shouldn't do gender reassignments, because for the right people, it cures them of the negative symptoms of their illness. Which is great.
Galt is just autistic and has a hard time with being appropriate socially.
