I wonder how many civilizations existed before ours, and what happened to them? Some of the ruins go back tens of thousands of years. Our recorded history, only a few thousand. The experts say about 75,000 years ago the Toba eruption almost wiped mankind out. So in 50,000 years from now, will someone see the Empire State building sticking out of the sand and say wonder who made that. My guess is our land fills will be the archeological treasure troves, but who really knows?
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.

Dharma I fully understand that global warming will cause some tremendous problems, but how will it wipe out civilization?
