Well I would feel the same as if somebody was actively trying to kill somebody. The government would act to defend that person, using lethal force if necessary.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: supporters of the death penalty need to be registered with the state, who will hold executioner lotteries. If your name is chosen, you'll be given a handgun and a single bullet, put into a room with the prisoner, and expected to execute them.

Fair's fair. You want the state to execute people, you should be expected to help carry it out.

Also, we should have people opt-in to the death penalty. Like if you think it should exist, if you commit a crime worthy of it, you absolutely do not get a chance for continued existence. But people who don't like it and don't support it can enjoy life in prison instead.

i'm really conflicted on the death penalty. on one hand some people should just be put in the dirt and forgotten, but on the other hand innocent people shouldn't face the possibility of dying.
