There's hardly anything ideological about the ACA. It's a very compromised policy(I don't mean like let's make a compromise, I mean the idea itself is compromised). It's a plan that does not fit or satisfy any ideology, and yet it's still not very pragmatic either. We can beat up ideology all we want, but that won't necessarily get us better results.
