If you're scared of criminals shooting you, maybe you should find the reason that they want to kill people, and eliminate that. Then we can have guns and not need them for self protection.
But instead people would rather just have a violent country and poor people who resort to violence because they have no access to education or the means to live a modest life.
Can't have your cake and eat it too gun-lovers.

A couple of thoughts.
One, policy should be based on averages, not anomalies. Going after guns because of mass shootings is like deciding to destroy the US Constitution because of a terror attack. Mindless, silly, irresponsible.
Two, the idea that mass shootings are somehow prevented by the prevalence of concealed carry and public carry laws is total nonsense. Proof?
Three, banning all guns is as juvenile as allowing all guns.
Four, gun ownership as an individual right is utterly useless. Not only is doing that denying democratic control over a contentious issue, but it has resulted in all sorts of underhanded bullshit from desperate people trying to get the laws they want in the communities they live in. Also, it's dumb.
Five, for the love of God, stop using the French tragedy as a talking point. Ugh its sickening.
