Yeah, I guess 'Made in USA' has a premium so it's worth it to make a limited amount in the US for most brands. Doc Martins just reopened a factory in the UK for a similar reason. I like the 'Made in USA' law; that most of the materials must be sourced there and the manufacturing done there. In Europe it's a joke. I was in a factory once in Vietnam that make shoes for a famous American sports brand. There were these lasted uppers (basically the whole shoe was finished apart from bonding the sole) and the label in there said 'Made in UK'. I was like 'WTF??' and they told me that in Euro law there has to be only the final manufacturing process done to say that the product is made there. So they ship the lasted uppers and sole units to Manchester where there's a tiny factory that glues them together and bingo... 'Made in UK'.
